- Left-Wing PopulismFrames politics as ordinary people against a wealthy elite, and calls for redistribution, strong public services and curbs on big business and finance.
- Democratic SocialismWants to replace much of capitalism with social ownership, but only through elections, a free press and democratic institutions, never through revolution or a one-party state.
- State CapitalismThe state runs businesses for profit and uses state-owned companies and banks to steer a market economy toward national goals.
- CentrismAvoids committing to the left or the right. Centrists judge policies case by case, look for compromise and are wary of radical change in any direction.
